 So i have a 2003 suzuki bandit 1200s. I have owned it for along time now and i have a lot of time and $ invested in the motor. I recently had the top end rebuilt with larger cams, a stage 6 high compression custom built cylinder head with new high performance valves and springs, honed out with new pistons and rings, and jetted carbs with exhaust. iv been told i should expect 155-165 hp, and around 85-90 flbs or torque. I will have more specs on the motor latter, how much compression, cams....ext.

what r your thoughts ?

Might not be too far off on your guess, i have 137 rwhp with only intake, carb, and exhaust modifications on my FZ and i know the bandit stock for stock with the fz was pretty darn close.

I would also check out Dyno-Power on Laskey. Either way, the only way to know for sure is to get it done. Also check AF ratio. Make sure it is not tuned strictly for power.

ya we have definitely had a lot of issues getting the right set up on the carbs. Iv been looking at getting some 38 or 40 mm mukuni's for it but i wanna see how the modded stock mukuni's will do first. I wont really know for sure what its capable of until i get the motor broke in and i can really open her up. Iv only rode it once for a quick test drive and i only took it up to 5000 rpms and it was pretty squirrely , so we'll see what happens.

You can also get it Dyno'd at at Maximum Performance on Laskey. They did mine...no complaints.

Are those Mukuni carbs the flat slide? If so, I would get rid of them. They are more for drag racing and you will be working on them all the time to keep them set.

no they're the stock 36mm round slide, but if i do go to the flat slide i will gain some horse power. im just worried that the 36s wont be able to keep up with the motor. i had to order the largest jet that they had for my carbs and still had to drill it out.
