Just picked up a 929

I finally got around to replacing my old FZR 600 so I have something decent and reliable to ride this season. Ultimately I got tired of trying to figure out that bikes carb issues. So I just recently went out and picked myself up a 2000 CBR 929RR. It's got about 30k miles on it but runs very good. Although I've only taken her for a ride around the block since weather hasn't really been nice enough to go far. It's currently getting torn apart to be put back to stock (appearance wise anyways). The previous owner had made it a street fighter. The main frame has been polished which was a perk because now I don't have to do it. lol. So I'm buying a new set of plastics and brackets, headlight, integrated tail and the right bars. Then whatever odds and ends I decide to throw at it. Mostly stock performance wise, just a d&d slip on, a Power commander, and the flapper mod on the airbox done.

I've got a new(used) wiring harness coming for her to get rid of the previous owners hacked up wiring from removing the factory headlights and controls. This way I don't have to reverse engineer his awesome work to get the original controls back on. I also really want to shorten the slip on because it's sooo long, but I haven't done it before so if anyone knows someone that will do it, or can get me a walk through on it would be awesome.

I'll try to get some current pics of her up. Warning she has seen some better days in her life, and will see some again once I get my tax returns.

Love those bikes, nice purchase! from my understanding it's very straight forward with shortening a can. pop the rivets on the end, find a band saw and get yourself a nice straight cut, repack it, and rivet back on the end piece.
